ABOUT ME:

I am a West Herts College alumni who studied Production Arts. Whilst the course was predominantly focused on lighting and sound (the more technical side), I always found myself in the designing/creative side when it came to shows- even if I was supposed to be operating the lighting.

I used to live in Houston, Texas and was exposed to the difference in culture. Whilst on a trip back to the Uk, I saw Phantom of the opera. It was the chandelier rising that made me think “this is the kind of work I would love to do”. I remember admiring the proscenium and props thinking “I can make this ….. With the right kind of training”. That same week, I remember walking through Leicester square and saw various billboard ads for upcoming movies-

including the last Harry Potter movie. The graphic shots and the striking cinematography had already captivated me but a single shot of the ravenclaw diadem gave me the same thoughts as seeing the chandelier -  “I can make this ….. With the right kind of training”.

Elstree has given me that kind of professional training that I hope will make me stand out in the industry.

I have recently undertaken a UK Screenskills Certificate on ‘Art Direction’.centre for screen excellence: at Elstree Screen Arts and would like to progress into the industry as either a prop maker, manager or set dressing. During this time I have created original set designs, various props and costume props.
